Our Steel Reinforcement Package adds superior strength. The package comes with a 36 " long by 13/4" wide Steel Plate for the door frame itself. Attached with 21/2 inch and 3 inch screws, this adds tremendous strength to the door. For more reinforcement, it includes Steel Plate hinge covers 8 inches long and 4 inch long spring bolt and dead bolt covers. See picture above.

Installers replace the standard 1 inch screws with 2 1/2 - 3 inch. Doors typically have only 1 to 11/2 inch long screws for mounting your door hinges and keeping your dead bolts in place. Our installers will replace all screws where they can be replaced. This adds a much greater degree of strength and support to the door, the door frame, and all the hinges and locks.
